I am passionate about treating women and helping to make a difference in their life when it comes to their bowel, bladder, and sexual function. I have training in pelvic floor physical therapy through Herman & Wallace Institute and I am also a pregnancy and postpartum corrective exercise specialist. I believe in a comprehensive and individualized approach to therapy and finding the why/root cause of a person’s primary complaint. I am excited to help my community’s members and would love to help you with any of your pelvic health concerns!
Doctorate: Physical Therapy, D’Youville University
BS: Exercise Science, UNC Wilmington. Physical Education and Health, SUNY Brockport
Advanced Training: Herman and Wallace Institute Pelvic Floor 1, Dry Needling
I am a native of Buffalo, NY (Go Bills!) I originally graduated with my teaching degree and worked as an educator for several years before pursuing my Doctorate in Physical Therapy. It was during my first clinical rotation when I realized how passionate I was about treating those with pelvic conditions. I take pride in my ability to build trust with each and every patient, and in doing so I strive to establish personalized, comprehensive treatment plans. Outside of work, I play roller derby and enjoy spending time with my wife and our 3 dogs.
After graduating from the Physical Therapy Assistant program through Kent State University in 2017, I moved to the area with my husband and began working in outpatient physical therapy with a focus on orthopedic injuries. I am passionate about connecting with my patients and bringing them back to their full potential. Previously, I have rehabilitated post-operative patients, both through joint replacements and repairs, as well as athletes, both high school and Active Duty military who experienced pain-limiting injuries, back to their necessary functional abilities. As a mother of two, I know feeling your best self is necessary to take care of those around you and I hope to bring this understanding and focus to other women and mothers in the clinic. When not treating patients, I can be found outside enjoying the weather and staying active with my kids, husband, and dog, Tank.
I am originally from upstate New York but have spent the majority of my life in Jacksonville, NC, where I graduated from Jacksonville High School in 2019. I then went on to achieve my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, baking, and spending time with friends and family. I hope to continue learning, growing, and expanding my knowledge about all things physical therapy!
